MYRNA J. KROGMAN
Myrna Joy (Dunn) Krogman, 75 years old, of Ottertail, and formerly of Alton, Iowa, died Nov. 21, at her home in Ottertail.
Myrna was born Jan. 18, 1938, at LeMars, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Rita (Plendl) Dunn. She was raised and educated in the Remsen area and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1957. She then attended Cosmetology College in Sioux City, Iowa.
On May 3, 1958 she married John (Jack) Krogman at St. Catherine's Church in Oyens, Iowa. They began a family in Alton raising four beautiful children, Tim, Mark, Karla and Kevin.
Myrna was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was known for decorating the church with her beautiful homegrown flowers, she was also a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society. Myrna attended St. Lawrence Church with her husband in Rush Lake. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and family.
Myrna and Jack retired to Ottertail in 1998 to be closer to her sisters, Carol Nacke and Jo Ellen Seidel. They loved the lake life and all of their extended family and friends that made Ottertail home. Myrna was a dedicated wife, mother and grandma and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Jack of Ottertail; her children, Tim (Ed) Krogman of Dunedin, Fla., Mark (Lori) Krogman of Southlake, Texas, Kevin (Paula) Krogman of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Karla Krogman (Rob Sauer) of Omaha, Neb.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Earl) Nacke of Richville and Jo Ellen (Paul) Seidel of Clitherall, Minn.; two brothers-in-law, Don (Mary Ann) Krogman of LeMars and Jim (Doris) Krogman of Remsen; and one sister-in-law, Mary (Wayne) Bailey of Alton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were held Nov. 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton with the Reverend Terry Roder officiating. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Casket bearers were Brody Krogman, John Krogman, Russ Nacke, Dean Seidel, John Seidel and Matt Peterson. Honorary bearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen, Iowa.
