New Turtle Fest parade route
The Turtle Fest parade route will be a little different this year due to construction on 1st Avenue South.
Registration will be at the corner of 6th Street S.W. and 2nd Avenue S.W.
The lineup will be down 6th Street S.W. to the Krauss Park area from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The parade will begin at 7 p.m, Friday, June 25.
The parade route, starting from 6th street S.W., will proceed down 2nd Avenue S.W. to Main Street.
The parade will turn left at Main Street and proceed down west until making a left turn at 5th Avenue S.W. to 3rd Street S.W., where it will turn right towards and past Perham Memorial Hospital and Home before making a left on 8th Avenue S.W.
The procession will conclude turning left on 5th Street S.W. going past St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
The 2010 edition of the Turtle Fest parade will feature at least two bands.

Booked for the event this year are high school marching bands from New York Mills and Fergus Falls-the band that performed at President Obama's inauguration.
Erin drew will be singing from the parade announcers' stand by the Post Office before the parade from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m.
More than 100 units are expected for the 2010 Perham Turtle Fest Grand Parade, which will march a new route this year that will include Main Street.
