New York Mills celebrates Independence Day
On Friday July 2, New York Mills will be starting their celebration of Independence Day with the Lund Mania Fishing Tournament from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
After the tournament, there will be kid's games and street vendors for those who come early for the NY Mills parade, which starts at 6:30 p.m. on Centennial by Lund's. The parade goes down Centennial and turns at North Tousley. It then turns at East Gilman, and ends at the school.
Right after the parade is a street dance.
The next day is the baseball game at 8 p.m. The two teams are New York Mills and the Midway Snurdbirds. It will be at the Russ Jacobson Field--Smith Park.
There will also be younger teams playing all day, with 13 year olds at 10 a.m., Babe Ruth at 1 p.m., and Legion at 4 p.m. $3 gets you into one game, while $10 gets you into one game and makes you eligible for drawings.
The fireworks start right after the game ends.
