New York Mills man hurt in crash

A New York Mills man suffered what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries in an accident on Highway 10 on Monday.

David Braukmann, age 60, was taken to Perham Health after the crash. Details of his injuries were unknown at press time.

According to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol, Jerry Dewar, age 60, of Ottertail, was pulling out onto Highway 10 from 505th Avenue west of New York Mills when his vehicle was struck from behind by Braukmann, who was traveling along the highway.

Dewar suffered no apparent injuries, according to the report.

The crash occurred at about 9:15 a.m. Assisting the state patrol at the scene was the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
