NEW YORK MILLS -- The New York Mills "Old-timers" (ages 50 on up) softball team is scrimmaging or playing games on Tuesday or Wednesday nights at Lund Park in New York Mills starting at 5:30 p.m.
"We have over a month left and any player is welcome to join us," Dave Kahl said.
Wednesday, July 25, doubleheader with Detroit Lakes in New York Mills at 7 p.m..Batting practice at 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 31, Batting practice and scrimmage in New York Mills starting at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, August 8, doubleheader with Calloway in New York Mills at 7 p.m. (BP at 5:30 p.m.)
The team will be playing through August and possibly through the first couple weeks in September.

The team currently has 24 guys on the roster.
"We allow pinch runners for hitters and on the base paths," Kahl said. "Our slogan is 'Start Slow and Stop Slow.' We don't want anybody to get hurt!
"We have a great group of guys and have a lot of fun trying to play like we did 30 and 40 years ago."
Most of the players are between 57-67 years old.
