NEW YORK MILLS -- The NY Mills Old-Timers Softball League is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 5.
In the event of poor weather, the start date will be moved to the following day, June 6.
Batting practice begins at 6 p.m. and scrimmage starts at 7 p.m., at Lund Park in NY Mills.
The league is for players age 50 and up and is in its fourth season.
"We started with eight players in 2008 and last year had 24 guys on the roster," said Dave Kahl, league organizer.
Pass the word and bring a friend to play in a league with the slogan, "Start slow and stop slow."
Last season, besides scrimmaging, the league had games with the senior teams from Detroit Lakes and Calloway.
