Jan. 1

Responded to a domestic disturbance call.

Investigated a residential burglary.

Jan. 3

Took a report of a vehicle in the ditch that had gone through a fence in rural New York Mills.

Took a report of a juvenile sending harassing text messages.

Jan. 4

Responded to a robbery alarm at a local business. It was a false alarm.

Received a complaint of possible disorderly conduct. Upon looking into matter further it was deemed a civil matter.

A local resident on probation was seen by an officer purchasing alcoholic beverages. A report was forwarded to the subject's probation agent.

Investigated a harassment/stalking complaint that involved juveniles.

Warned a motorist for driving with their headlights off after dark.

Warned a motorist for speeding.

Took a complaint of a vehicle parked in a residential area in the middle of the night. The subject was located and was found to be leaching wireless Internet from the neighborhood. The subject was warned.

Received a call from a local resident about a dog that was loose in her yard. The dog belonged to a neighbor and was claimed prior to officer arrival.

Investigated a report of an internal theft from a local business.

Responded to a burglary alarm at a local business. It was a false alarm.

Assisted by contacting owners whose vehicles were parked in areas were overnight snow removal was planned.

Jan. 12

Took a report of a strong odor coming from a chimney at a local residence. The cause of the odor was not determined.

A stray dog was brought to the police station after being apprehended by a local citizen. The dog was transported to Lakeland Veterinary Clinic and was later reunited with its owner.
