Took a report of a barking dog in a residential area. Owner had been warned before and said they had intended to find more suitable home for dog anyway. In lieu of citation, the owner followed up by relocating the dog.

May 3

Took a report of a missing dog. The dog was located.

Took a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a residential area. The vehicle belonged to a resident in the road construction area and had been parked there to facilitate roadwork.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office recovered some property that had been stolen from a business in New York Mills.

The vehicle had been moved by a construction crew to facilitate roadwork after the complainant had refused to move it themselves. Took a report of a vehicle driving erratically heading toward New York Mills on Highway 10. The vehicle was located and the officer observed the vehicle's driving for a period of time and saw no erratic driving.

May 22

Took a report of a residence with junk vehicles, garbage and debris scattered about the property.

May 23

Took a report of erratic driver. The vehicle was located and the driver was warned.

Cited a motorist for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Stopped a vehicle with a tail light out. The driver was advised of the tail light out and was warned for failing to transfer the vehicle's title.

May 24

Took a report from a parent of a minor that was receiving harassing text messages.

Warned a motorist for speed.

Cited a motorist for Driving after Revocation.

May 25

Took a report from a resident who had an unknown dog in their yard. The owner was located and warned for allowing the dog to roam at large.

Took a report of an abandoned property with long grass and debris. The city office was able to contact the property owner.

Took a report of a suspicious person sitting near a dumpster possibly eating garbage. The subject was located and had chosen the location for shade. The subject was eating fresh food.
