Novak won all three of his matches on way to the top spot at 112 pounds.

He was pitched against Perham's James Harlow in the semi-finals and the two wrestlers dueled each other to a 12-7 decision in Novak's favor. Both wrestlers were in trouble during the match, which saw both grapplers flipping each other all over the circle.

Harlow would finish third with the loss to Novak being his only tally outside of the win column. He finished 3-1.

Hein was the only Perham individual champion at heavyweight. With only four heavyweights at the tournament, it was short work early to defend his #2 state ranking.

Hein made quick work of New London-Spicer's Zach Borka pinning Borka at 1:20.

In the finals, Hein was pitted against #5 ranked Donaldo Martinez of Sauk Centre/Melrose.

The duo battled to a 1-1 stalemate before Hein took the title with a takedown in overtime.

Brandon Lueders made a run to the finals at 119 pounds for the Yellowjackets.

He pinned Roseau's Darius Sikorski at 3:01; stuck Mille Lacs' Nik Borchert at 5:20, but dropped a major decision in the finals, 13-3, to Ben Henle, of New London-Spicer.

New London-Spicer took the team title with 263 points. Mille Lacs was second with 169.5. Detroit Lakes finished third with 140.5. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley-Nevis was fourth, 133.
