NY Mills Babe Ruth baseball off to a hot start

The Babe Ruth baseball season for 14 and 15-year-olds got under way last week.

Teams play two five-inning games.

New York Mills defeated Perham Gold 10-0 in 4 innings. Winning pitcher Brandon Kupfer struck out seven.

NY Mills got the sweep winning the second game 13-3 in four innings. Adam Patron struck out six.

NY Mills defeated Perham Black 5-0 with winner Tyler Patron pitching a complete game fanning 10. Austiin Erickson pitched the nightcap, not allowing a hit and sitting seven batters down on way to a 10-0 win.

"Overall we played well for our first games of the year," Head Coach Tim Kupfer said. "Good pitching and we hit the ball well."

The team traveled to Park Rapids on Tuesday and will play at Wadena on Thursday this week.
