NY Mills school to host kindergarten information night
To help with the process of sending a young one to school, the New York Mills school will host a kindergarten and junior kindergarten information night on Thursday, March 17 at 6 p.m. in the school district's commons (lunch room). Enter at the district office (Eagle entrance). There will be signs posted to help show the way. The evening is for parents and students who will be age 5 by Sept. 1. Children are also invited to attend.
A light supper will be available during the program for parents and students. At 6:30 p.m. the students will have special activities while the parents learn more about kindergarten and junior kindergarten programs. The students will also spend some time in the kindergarten rooms. Daycare for siblings will not be available.
The event will be a time for the school to share classroom and health information with parents. The school will present on the all-day, every day kindergarten program as well as the option of junior kindergarten. Necessary paperwork will be explained and handed out. Information will be sent to those who cannot attend.
