NY Mills School Superintendent to retire in Aug.

New York Mills School Superintendent Todd Cameron has announced his intent to retire, effective Aug. 31, 2013.

He made the official announcement Monday evening during a meeting of the NY Mills School Board.

The board will begin looking into options for filling the open position in November.

Cameron began as NY Mills School Superintendent in Feb. 2003.

Board member Rachel Grieger said, "Those of us who have been on board for a long time, know how long of a process it takes to get a superintendent on board."

Cameron promised to assist however possible, "during the transition period."

In a letter to the school board, Cameron stated that he will, "miss working in the New York Mills Public School."

Grieger said the board was glad Cameron was, "able to give the district ample time and opportunity" in his 10 years of service.

Cameron took the opportunity to, "thank the school, community, teachers, support staff, and definitely my office staff, colleagues, and board members for their immense support and help over these past 10-plus years."
