"This was a great start to busy week, mostly on the road," said Head Coach Gary Bach. "It was nice to begin with a Parents Day win. There was some good competitive tennis on every court, as is usually the case when the Eagles play the Yellowjackets."

The Eagles swept the singles matches. Missy Hendrickx defeated Hannah Brenk two and love. Lauren Bach swept Suzanne Coleman 6-2, 6-3. Jen Maki dropped the first set 6-4 before rallying to defeat Ashley Silbernagel 6-2 and 7-4 in a tiebreaker to decide the match. At four singles, Jenna Esala made quick work of Chelsea Honer two and one.

The Yellowjackets held off the Eagles in doubles taking all three matches.

Mary Ann Kuebler and Paige Bieger defeated Kristin Kane and Krisa Guldseth 6-2, 4-6 and 7-3 in a deciding tiebreaker at number one singles.

At two, Haley Fraki and Rachel Wiskow took out Abby Salo and Vicky Selander two and two.

Katie Howey and Makayla Kroenke won at three singles over Jordin Roberts and Megan Dow 6-2, 6-2.

Sticking with the highway 10 schedule, NY Mills dropped a close 4-3 match at Wadena last Tuesday. The Eagles were on the hill, up 3-1 early, before the Wolverines rallied for the win.

"After jumping to a 3-1 lead in the team score, we came up just a little short in some close matches at the end of the day."

Perham headed south to Parkers Prairie where the Yellowjackets also dropped a close 4-3 match earlier in the week.

Suzanne Coleman and Ashley Silbernagel got wins at two and four singles. Haley Fraki and Rachel Wiskow came back from a set down to win at two doubles 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.
