Nyhus plans auto detail shop on Main Street
A new detailing shop is being planned by Nyhus Family Auto Sales.
The shop is planned at the former rapid oil change facility on West Main Street--formerly owned by Phelps Ford.
A hearing will be required on the proposal, because it will require a conditional use permit. The previous oil change business had been "grandfathered" in, as the area is now zoned "downtown commercial," which is a more restricted zoning.
The former rapid oil business has been closed for more than one year.
The council set a hearing for the December 8 regular city council meeting.
Nyhus recently expanded its lot on County Rd. 78--across from Perham High School.
Joint agreement between Perham, Detroit Lakes FD
In other council action Nov. 10, a joint cooperative agreement between the Perham and Detroit Lakes volunteer fire departments was approved.
The agreement allows shared use of equipment and firefighting personnel between the two departments.
