Menahga extended their win-streak over New York Mills to four games with a doubleheader sweep last Thursday.

Mills managed just five hits, two by Maison Roberts, in a 6-1 loss in game one.

David Ayers drew a bases loaded walk in the top of the seventh to score Joe Hendrickx with the Eagles lone run.

NY Mills scored first in game two as Roberts drove in Tanner Wegscheid and Tristan Huwe. Menahga scored two to tie the game in the bottom of the first, then scored another run in the second for a 3-2 lead.

Mills retied the game in the third when Wegscheid singled and eventually scored on a balk.

The Braves won the game in the seventh on a home run by Kasey Tyge. Eagle starter Jarrod Norton was solid in the loss, going all seven innings and striking out five.

Menahga won both games last year in a DH sweep, 12-5 and 9-3.

Mills will return home on May 5 to take on Parkers Prairie in a pair of games at Jacobson Field. The Eagles have won five-straight overall against the Panthers, including a sweep in last year's double dip, 4-2 and 17-8.

The first game in both sets of doubleheaders will start at 4 p.m.

Pair of back-to-backs

New York Mills will remain at home on May 7 when they host Verndale at 5 p.m. The Pirates won the season opener between the two teams on April 14, 14-8.

The Eagles will go out of the Park Region Conference on May 8 when they travel to Osakis (1-7) for the first of three straight games away from home. NY Mills won a shootout with the Silverstreaks last year, 13-12.

NY Mills will remain on the road, and out of conference on May 11 when they play at Browerville/Eagle Valley (3-4). The Tigers won last year's meeting, 10-4.

The Eagles get back to Park Region competition on May 12 with a game at Pillager. Mills won the first meeting with the Huskies on April 16, 5-4.

New York Mills will finally return to Jacobson Field to host Sebeka on May 14.
