NYM Boys Basketball: Snelgrove's shot at buzzer beats Verndale
After the Verndale Pirates erased a three-point deficit in the first half to take a 59-57 lead, New York Mills' Adam Snelgrove hit a three-pointer as time expired to give the Eagles a 60-59 win in Park Region Conference action Tuesday.
Snelgrove finished with 10 points. Isaiah Bauck led Mills with 24.
The two teams split their games last year, with both team's winning on their home court.
Mills will remain on the road tonight (Jan. 7) when they travel to Sebeka. Sebeka is ranked No. 4 in Class A, and have won three straight against New York Mills.
The Eagles will play their first home game at the Mills Sports Center in a month when they host Norman County East on Jan. 8. NCE (4-4) knocked the Eagles out of last year's playoffs with a 79-44 win in the sub-section quarterfinals and have won five-straight in the series.
