NYM 6A True Team Track

New York Mills competed in the 6A True Team sectional at Wadena-Deer Creek High School on May 5.

The Lady Eagles finished 15th out of 17 teams, the Mills boys finished 16th. Ada-Borup won the boys team title with Breckenridge/Campbell-Tintah winning the girls championship.

Alicia Boe won the girls 1600m run (5:29.78) and the 3200m run (12:05.93). Brittnie Menze was third in the shot put (33'0.75")

Ben Jacobson led the boys with a first place finish in the 110m hurdles (17.69). Brandon Menze was second in the shot put (45'11").

Next

New York Mills will compete in the Daggett Invitational in Frazee today (May 7). Events begin at 3:45 p.m.

The Park Region Conference Championships will be hosted by United North Central in Sebeka on May 14. The Lady Eagles finished fifth at the PRC last year. The Eagle boys finished seventh. Cara Bessler is the defending PRC champ in the high jump. Boe will defend her title in the 3200m run.

Parkers Prairie won the PRC boys championship in 2008. Pillager won the girls team title.
