NYM Volleyball: Pillager shuts down Mills
The final regular season match at the Sports Center didn't go so well for the New York Mills volleyball team Thursday night. The Eagles were handed their fourth straight loss, as Pillager took home a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-8, 25-15).
New York Mills had won seven straight against the Huskies dating back to 2002.
The Eagles will hit the road this weekend to take part in the Litchfield Invitational. First round matches start at 9 a.m.
On Oct. 13, Mills closes out their Park Region Conference schedule with a match at Menahga. The Eagles have won their last two matches against the Trojans, including a 2-0 win at the Mills Invitational earlier this season. Menahga is in last place in the conference with a 0-3 record (3-12 overall).
Mills will play their regular season finale on Oct. 19 at Browerville. The Tigers (13-9, 4-4 Prairie Conference) won last year's match, 3-1.
The Section 6A Playoffs are scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 29.
