Otter Dazzle parade, fireworks, community fun this Saturday
Ottertail city is once again gearing up for its annual Otter Dazzle winter festival.
Festivities begin Friday, December 4 with the Lions Club holding its Community Christmas Party. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The party will be held at The Otter Supper Club, off of Highway 78 in Ottertail. It will start at 5 p.m. with a social hour, with dinner following at 6:30 p.m.
To kick off the city's festivities on Saturday, Dec. 5, the Lions will have a pancake breakfast at the Ottertail Community Center. Breakfast will run from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
There are many events that are going on at the Community Center during the day. The craft sale will start at 9 a.m. Also planned are the Dazzle Walk, cookie and long john decorating, kids crafts and games, turkey bowling, pictures with Santa, sleigh rides, and bingo.
The parade line-up starts at 4:30 behind "The Village Inn," with the parade starting at 5 p.m. Those who are interested in having a float in the parade should contact Kathy at 218-367-3092.
After the parade, fireworks will light up the skies. The public is then invited to a spaghetti feed at the Community Center. Proceeds from the dinner go to help out families in the community.
New on the Otter Dazzle schedule of events this year is a night of Christmas celebration at the old Ottertail Creamery building. End the evening at the creamery with storytellers and music by local musicians.
