Otter Fest demo derby, parade set Aug. 8 - 9
This year's Otter Fest celebration in Ottertail kicks off with the Ottertail Rod and Gun Club's annual demo derby on Friday, August 8. The derby will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the demo area, south of the water tower on Highway 108.
On Saturday, August 9, citywide activities will run throughout the day. The Ottertail Lions pancake and sausage breakfast will start the day out from 7:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Community Center.
The big parade will start at 11:00 a.m., with the parade line up behind Eckhoff's at 10:00 a.m. For information, contact Kathy at 218-367-3092.
Throughout the day, there will be arts and crafts booths set up, inflatables in the park, and lots of food vendors. A truck and tractor pull (tractors, pre 59 models; trucks, _ - _ ton stock only) will start at 1:30 in the afternoon. For more information, contact Mitch at 218-367-2819.

For those who stick around for dinner, a corn on the cob feed will go from 5 - 8. A free will donation will be taken.
Later in the night, a street dance will be held from 8:30 - 12:30. Live music will be provided by Steppin Out/ Jacob Rice. There is a $5 admission fee, and IDs are required. At 10:00 p.m., Dwayne Augustus and the Ottertail Fire Department will present a fireworks display--sponsored by the Ottertail Lions.
