The icon of Ottertail was relocated Tuesday to a spot that will be more visible to bicyclers and Highway 78 travelers.

The city's well-known otter statue was moved from its former location near downtown Ottertail to a site at the intersection of Highways 78 and 108, in front of the water fountain at First National Bank.

Ottertail Lions Club members Jerry Smith, Shirley Smith, and Denny Euteneuer also gave the steel otter a fresh coat of brown paint on Tuesday.
