A spree of fish house break-ins on Otter Tail Lake is under investigation by the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department.
Several more break-ins were reported a few days later, on Rush Lake.
About five break-ins have been reported on the north side of Otter Tail Lake so far, and more may be discovered as owners come for weekend fishing. These break-ins were at houses located about a half-mile south of the Riviera Public Access.
A wide range of items were stolen - from a brand new ice fishing auger valued at nearly $500 to a variety of fishing tackle. A marine battery, depth finder and DVD player are among the other items.
Access to the locked fish houses was gained with a pry bar.
Authorities ask the public to be on the lookout if somebody tries to sell these items. To report any information, call the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department at 218-998-8525.
