Otter Tail Sheriff investigating mailbox bombings
Otter Tail County, MN (WDAY TV) - The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office says watch out when opening your mailbox. They say pranksters are responsible for two pop bottle bombs placed in rural mailboxes over the weekend.
One was in New York Mills, and one near the city of Otter Tail. Only one of the bombs exploded. The Sheriff's Office says the home-made bombs have a dangerous mix of chemicals inside, and can explode when shaken.
Stacy Paulseth - Chief Deputy Sheriff Otter Tail County: "If it's exploded, obviously there might be some chemicals that are involved that could cause irritation and burning to the skin."
The suspect, or suspects, faces a felony for the federal offense. Call the Sheriff's Office with any information
