Parking ban in force in downtown Perham
Effective immediately, the city of Perham will be enforcing no parking in the Downtown Business District until the snow has been plowed and removed.
The parking ban will be between the hours of 1 a.m. and 8 a.m.
This will be enforced between November 1 and April 30.
On all other city streets, any vehicle parked longer than twenty-four hours will be subject to be towed during periods of snow fall of two inches or more.
Crews have been hard at work removing snow, and parked cars can be a hindrance, according to Perham City Manager Kelcey Klemm.
"If the crews can do a clean sweep the first time, rather than going back, it's not only good for our public works department, but it looks better and it is safer for driving," said Klemm.
