Patricia Lynn Basswood, 43, of Ogema, died Saturday, Feb. 7 at St. Mary's-Innovis Health Center in Detroit Lakes.
She was born Sept. 26, 1965 in Park Rapids to Norman Blakely and Mary Lou Basswood. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Anna and Albert Basswood. She attended Pine Point Elementary School and Park Rapids High School and Circle Of Life High School in White Earth. She was in the process of obtaining her GED at the time of her death.
During her working life, she did leeching, worked for Swift & Company in Detroit Lakes and for Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen.
Survivors include her significant other of 12 years, Dennis St. Clair, Sr., of Ogema; a son, Dennis Frank St. Clair II, of Ogema; her mother, Mary Lou, of Ponsford; a niece, whom she raised, Crystal, of Ponsford; a sister, Barbara (Clarence), of Ponsford; and a brother, Norman, of Ponsford.
She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandparents: Albert and Anna; and her paternal grandparents: Simon and Rachel Blakely.
Funeral service: Noon today (Wednesday), Feb. 11 at the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford, with Rev. Robert "Dub" Roy and Mike Swan officiating.
Visitation: From 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 until the time of the service Wednesday at the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford.
Interment: Breck Memorial Episcopal Cemetery, Ponsford.
