Pelican Rapids woman seriously hurt in crash
Brenda Cossette, 59, of Pelican Rapids, was seriously injured late last Wednesday morning, Dec. 4, in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 59 northeast of Pelican Rapids.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Cossette was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kenneth Cossette, also 59. He lost control of a pickup while driving northward on icy roads at 11:37 a.m. The vehicle entered the south-bound lane and struck an SUV head-on.
The driver of the SUV was 43-year-old Linda Mallow of Pelican Rapids. She and Kenneth Cossette sustained non-life threatening injuries.
At the scene of the accident were sheriff’s deputies, the State Patrol and Pelican Rapids Police Department and ambulance personnel.
