Perham eighth-grade football defeats Frazee 22-6
Tuesday night saw the 8th grade football team travel just up the road to take on the Hornets from Frazee. This game always seems to be a well played and a hard hitting game and Tuesday night was no exception. The young Jackets put some great drives together and just missed on a couple of big plays and the defense played well in the first half to see the Jackets take a 16 to 6 lead going into intermission.
The second half was a great display of ball control offense as the Jackets took the opening possession 70 yards on the ground and took almost the whole quarter before punching it into the end zone. The defense also stepped up and got the ball back to the Jacket offense and they again drove all the way down the field just missing out on a final score.
The final ended up 22 to 6 in favor of the Jackets. The Jackets are in action again on Thursday as they host the Detroit Lakes Lakers before having a week off between games.
