Perham grad takes top honors at national horse Championship

The dust has settled following the fifth annual National Versatility Ranch Horse Association Championship Event, held Sept. 22-23 in Colorado Springs, Col.

Thirty-four riders competing in five different divisions attended, and five classes were performed.

KayLee Sazama, a 2011 Perham High School graduate, and her mare, Miss Gees Ote, took first place in the Novice Amateur Division and came in 2nd in the Collegiate Division.
