Perham man sentenced for check theft violations
Armond Gary Poeschel, 74, of Perham, was sentenced May 14 in Otter Tail County District Court for theft by check violations.
Poeschel was sentenced to 10 days in the county jail, community work service and will be on supervised probation for five years. Monitoring will be done by the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Field Services.
He has fines of $500 and restitution of $2,200.
Court records state that Poeschel, between April 10 and Oct. 30, 2009, deceived a third party with false representation and fraud. His sentencing relates to fraud during a rental payment process in Perham.
The case also involves theft from the company where Poeschel was employed, according to court records. The company was out $2,200, which was later restored through the restitution order by the judge.
