Perham photographer to exhibit work
The photography of J.R. Kelsey will be exhibited at the Perham Area Public Library, Aug. 8 through Sept. 8, and will feature photographs of native Minnesota birds.
Kelsey enjoyed photography as a high school student in California. He later attended Lassen Community College and received two AA forestry degrees - one in fire suppression and one in recreation.
Kelsey has lived in Minnesota since 1990 and in Perham for the last three years. He currently works part-time at the Perham Area Community Center.
While on display, the exhibited items will be available to buy from the artist through a special silent auction-style sale. All proceeds will be donated to the library.
The photographs may be viewed in the library's multipurpose room during open hours and when the room is not otherwise occupied.
