Perham Rotary blood drive set for Oct. 21
The Perham Rotary Club, along with the American Red Cross, will be holding a blood drive next week at Calvary Lutheran Church in Perham.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, and as blood cannot be manufactured, it must come from donors.
-A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
-Although an estimated 38 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate, less than 10 percent actually do each year.
-One pint of blood can save up to three lives.
The blood drive will be held Monday, Oct. 21, from noon to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Bring a photo ID or donor card.
For appointments, contact Jean at 218-758-2714.
