Rotary District 5580 District Governor, Don Cavalier, has encouraged placing Peace Poles in all the communities of the district. And with this encouragement, the Perham Rotary Club, along with the Interact Club, have answered the call.

Created by Phil Holtan, Perham Rotary Club’s Peace Pole is six-sided and includes the inscription, “May Peace Prevail on Earth,” in the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Japanese. The languages were chosen by the Interact Club.

The dedication of the Peace Pole will be held on Tuesday, May 21 at 8:45 a.m. on the east side of Perham High School. Perham graduate Abby Huebsch will be the featured speaker.

Perham Rotarians, students and the general public are invited to attend the dedication of this new community monument.
