Perham woman sentenced for burglary
Shalyn Katheryn Sauceda, age 20, formerly of Perham, was sentenced Feb. 4 on a felony charge of burglary in the second degree.
According to Otter Tail County Court records, Sauceda's sentence of 28 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee was stayed for 10 years. She will be on probation for that same period of time.
Sauceda has fulfilled a 90-day sentence in the county jail, due to time already served. She will also pay a $500 fine.
Sentencing relates to an incident in Perham in December of 2011, in which a DVD collection, three boxes of insulin syringes and a piggy bank holding about $60 in coins were missing from an apartment. Sauceda was linked to the theft.
