Perham's 'Parade of Lights' set Nov. 28
There are new incentives for Parade of Lights entrants, for the annual holiday kick-off on Nov. 28.
Prizes for parade entries include a two-night stay at the new Crossings motel in Perham. Also on the prize list are four, $50 Perham Buck certificates, reported Parade of Lights chairperson Faye Schwartzenberger, who spoke at the Nov. 11 Perham Area Chamber of Commerce Power Hour meeting.
Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m., with food and music in "Candyland Park" in downtown Perham, on November 28.
Parade start is at 5:30 p.m.
Parade winners will be announced at Mulligan's, at 7:30 p.m., followed by a dance with "Sister Act."
More than ten entries have been received so far. The Minnesota State University-Moorhead train will be at the event again.
The 8th annual event is billed as the "Perham Lions Parade of Lights," with the Lions serving as the major sponsor. There are also nearly 75 gold and silver sponsors for the event, including local businesses and other organizations.
Any business, family or organization that would want to enter a parade unit can go to the following site for parade entry forms: www.perham.com/content_141.php.
