Peterson wins 12th term
In Minnesota's 7th Congressional District race incumbent Collin Peterson was re-elected Tuesday in a contest that mirrored a similar victory two years ago.
With 1,120 of 1,327 precincts reporting, Peterson, a Democrat, had 61 percent of the vote to Republican Lee Byberg's 35 percent and Independence Party candidate Adam Steele's 4 percent.
Peterson had 169,547 votes, followed by Byberg with 96,575 votes and Steele with 12,826.
