PHS sends five projects to state history competition
Perham High School will be sending five projects to state competition for National History Day at the University of Minnesota on May 4.
Group Documentary students Rebecca Huus’ and Teah Stokke’s film, “Martha George Ripley”; Group Performance students Lauren Anderson and Paityn Lund for their performance, “Failure is Impossible,” about women's suffrage; Individual Documentary, Marlee Curtis’ “Minnesota Starvation Experiment”; “The Northwest Airline,” by Alyssa Moris, Olivia Nelson, and Allie Doll; and “Charles A. Lindbergh,” by Sydney Karels and Marina Reese.
Northwest History Day Regional Honorable Mention Projects were Carolyn Baardesen and Destannie Montalvo for an exhibit on the WWII Womens Air Corps and Group Documentary, Ashley Zitzow and Kayla Davidson for their film, “Hannah Kempfer: Immigrant Girl.”
National History Day is a local, regional, state, and national competition that focuses on research skills.
