PHS Volleyball: Jackets take down Barnesville

Perham's homestand continued Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Barnesville (27-5, 25-23, 18-25, 25-14).

Perham's offense was aided by good back row digging, something the Jackets had been working on in practice. Four girls were in double figures in digs, led by Huber and Becky Stoll with 13 each.

Elisa Moenkedick had 16 kills and four blocks to go with 11 digs and five aces. Stoll also had five aces along with three kills.

Mary Guck led the team with 17 set-assists to go with 12 digs.

Christenson is now 9-0 against Barnesville as Jacket head coach.

Home finale next

The Lady Jackets (11-9, 6-2 HOL) will play their final regular season home game and their last HOL game Oct. 20 against Hawley.

Perham has won 10-straight over Hawley since 2000.

The regular season finale will be Oct. 22 at Detroit Lakes (8-9, 3-2 Mid-State). Perham won the meeting with the Lakers on Sept. 8, 3-0, for their 15th straight win over Detroit Lakes.

Section 8AA playoffs are scheduled to begin Oct. 29.
