Perham remained undefeated in the Heart O' Lakes Conference last Thursday with a 3-0 win at Pelican Rapids (25-19, 25-15, 25-16).

Perham's middle hitters, Elisa and Katrina Moenkedick, had a great match, combining for 21 of Perham's 29 kills. The Lady Jackets defense was on again, picking up 60 digs and six blocks.

Serving was also a plus for the Yellowjackets tonight. They only missed two serves in the games and finished with 11 aces. Elisa Moenkedick and beck Stoll each had four ace serves.

The back row players, however, were the key to another victory for Perham over the Vikings. The serve receivers, Brooke Mickelson, Karlee Omberg, Kelli Meehl, Kaylan Huber, and Stoll, combined for 19 perfect passes to the setter.

"This opened up the offense for our hitters," said head coach Dan Christenson.

Katrina Moenkedick led the team with 12 kills up front. Elisa finished with nine kills.

Pelican Rapids outstanding Middle Hitter, Kendra Coleman achieved milestone dig number 1,000 during the match.

"Kendra is a fantastic player and it has been an honor to coach against her over the years," Christenson said. "Congratulations to her on this great milestone.

Perham is now 10-0 against the Vikings since 2000, outscoring them 30 sets to three.

On Oct. 6, the Lady Jackets will head to Breckenridge.

Perham is 9-0 over the Cowgirls since 2000, not losing a single set, beating them by a combined score of 27-0 over that span.
