Police Reserves net more than 2,000 lbs for area food shelf
The Perham Police Reserves collected 2,113 pounds of food for the Perham Food Shelf during its October drive.
Reserve Officers were visible on several occasions during the month, with the command van set up and donations loaded into the back.
In conjunction with the drive, the Reserve Officers had a drawing, where those who contributed food items qualified for prize drawings.
Winning a necklace from Dale Wright was Tamara Langen.
Also winning a necklace was Tony Stoll.
Fran Knutson won a subscription from the Perham Enterprise Bulletin.
A number of other people also won frisbees, coffee cups, bicycle locks and other items. There were more than 40 prize items.
"We would like to thank everyone who made food donations and cash donations. The community's participation was outstanding and made for a very successful food drive," said Lt. Jeff Williams, Perham Police Reserve Officer.
