POPS Volleyball Camps June 24-25
Perham native Pam Osterfeld returns to Perham June 24-25 with the POPS Volleyball Camp.
The mission of the camp is to provide as many setting and defensive repetitions as possible for each position in a competitive environment.
Minimal time is allotted for scrimmage-type situations.
The camp will make a regional stop in Detroit Lakes, as well, June 15-16.
Camp size is limited to ensure a low camper to coach ratio and open to athletes going into grades 7-12 for the 2011-2012 school year.
Cost for the camp is $65 per athlete. $60 for District 549 campers attending the Perham camp.
Lunch is not provided.
Registration deadline for all camps is Monday, May 23.
Pam Schroeder will join Osterfeld. Schroeder was a two-time All-American at North Dakota State University and still holds NDSU's record for all-time assists with 5,408 in her career. She is currently the Assistant Volleyball Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Osterfeld attended Texas Tech where she was All-Conference before moving on to play at NDSU. She is currently the Head Coach at Holy Family High School in Victoria, Minn.

Information needed to register is name, grade as of Fall 2011, address, email address (required for confirmation), name of parents, phone number, emergency contact and phone number, T-shirt size, position: setter, libero or defense and which camp the athlete will be attending.
Camp instruction will include: hand positioning, footwork, jump sets, deceptiveness, setter dumps, defensive skills, movement, positioning, serve receive and emergency skills like overhead digging and proper floor techniques.
