PARK RAPIDS — The Perham boys swimming and diving team picked up wins in seven events, two by Luke Potts, in a 106-71 defeat against the Panthers Friday evening.

Potts won the 200 IM (2:27.71) and the 100 backstroke (1:06.79) and swam the third leg of the first place 400 freestyle relay team (3:50.62) with Patrick Murphy, Todd Brown, Jr., and Jayden Cullen.

Cullen, Brown, Jr., Sullivan and Murphy also picked up event wins.

Cullen won the 100 freestyle (53.14) defeating Park Rapids’ Zach Behrens by more than six seconds (59:36). Cullen had runner-up finishes in the 50 free and on Perham’s 200 medley relay team with teammates Sullivan, Potts, and Brown, Jr.

Brown, Jr. finished first in the 100 butterfly (1:05.79).

Sullivan won the 200 freestyle (2:08), Brown, Jr. was second with a time of 2:09.29. Sullivan finished fourth in the 100 backstroke.

Murphy won the 500 freestyle (6:08.43) in front of three Panthers. Mason Scorup, of Perham, was fifth. Murphy was third in the 50 free.

Perham swept the 400 freestyle relay with the B team of Andrew Cullen, Scorup, Jett Karels and Sullivan placing second in a time of 5:21.44.

Saturday’s invitational at Detroit Lakes was postponed.
