'Rags to Riches' models take stage for Nov. 7 show
Forget designer brands, thrift store finds are the "new black" in the lakes area fashion scene.
In a "Rags to Riches" Perham fashion show, models will wear clothing they have discovered at flea markets, garage sales, and thrift stores. The models will put together their own assortment of bargain items to make an individualized, unique fashion statement.
This spin on the traditional show fashion show is planned for Nov. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the ITOW Veterans Museum, 805 West Main, Perham. Tickets to the show are $15. Hors d'ouevres and wine will be available at the show.
A "Ring Raffle and Exchange" is also planned for the event. Participants will have an opportunity to win a sapphire and diamond ring valued at $900 from T.A. Gould Jeweler.
To enter, purchase a bag containing a ring worth at least $25. Either keep it or exchange it with someone else. Your receipt will be entered in the drawing. Participants need not be present to win.
The Rags to Riches fashion will be held immediately following the FOCUS Bazaar in Perham.
Proceeds from the fashion show will go to support the programs of the Friends of the History Museum of East Otter Tail County. For more information call 218-346-7676.
