PERHAM — The Region 14C amateur baseball tournament moves to Perham after completion of day one play at four respective sites around the region Friday evening.

The Lake & Pine South champions Nimrod advanced defeating the New York Mills Millers 8-2 in Menahga.

The Hi-10 champion Bertha Blazers defeated Carlos 10-3 in Perham.

Resorters East champs the Long Prairie Predators put a 10-spot on Bluffton 12-2 at Urbank.

Hi-10 runners-up Detroit Lakes doubled up Lake & Pine South runners-up Sebeka 18-9 in Dent.

Round two will be played today beginning at 11 a.m., all at Krueger Field.

Saturday’s schedule:

Loser’s bracket elimination games:

New York Mills vs. Carlos 11 a.m.

Bluffton vs. Sebeka 2 p.m.

Championship bracket:

Nimrod vs. Bertha 5 p.m.

Long Prairie vs. Detroit Lakes 8 p.m.

Region 16C play begins today at Jake Wolford Field in Dent.

DENT — The Lake & Pine North champion Midway Snurdbirds face the Fergus Falls Hurricanes at 11 a.m. Fergus Falls was the runner-up to Pelican Rapids in the Countryside League.

Lake & Pine North runners-up the Wolf Lake Wolf Pack take on Resorters West runners-up Brandon/Evansville at 5 p.m.

Both winners will play an immediate doubleheader with the two teams who earned first round byes: The Urbank-Parkers Prairie Bombers and the Pelican Rapids Lakers.

UPP, the Resorters West champions, will play the Midway/Fergus winner at 2 p.m.

Pelican will play Wolf Lake or Brandon/Evansville in the nightcap at 8 p.m.
