Remembering young loved ones lost
Perham's 9th annual Angel of Hope vigil was well attended last Thursday, with roughly 70 people stopping by to pay their respects to young loved ones lost. The short, secular, candlelight ceremony allowed family and friends to announce the name of their lost loved one and lay a white flower at the base of the angel statue in their memory. Some also brought special Christmas ornaments to hang on the nearby pine trees. The Angel of Hope Statue is a place of healing for anyone who has suffered the loss of a child; candlelight vigils are held every year on Dec. 6, at angel statues across the nation. Perham's statue is located at the corner of 3rd Ave. and 6th Ave. NE.
