Renee S. Grover, 63, of Grand Rapids, Minn., died peacefully at her home on Nov. 13, 2012.
Renee was born in 1949 to Warren and Helen Krueger in Perham. She graduated from Perham High School in 1967 and then moved to Minneapolis where she attended the Fairview Hospital School of Nursing until 1970. Renee was united in marriage to Eugene L. Grover on Aug. 29, 1970 in Perham. After living in various places while Eugene was in the service, they moved and resided in Grand Rapids, where Renee remained a homemaker and raised their two children. They became members of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1975, where Renee was involved in different boards, release time, confirmation teacher, bell choir and adult choir. In November of 2000, Renee started working at Walmart, where she was an associate in the shoes and jewelry department for several years and also a cashier until she retired in 2011.
Renee is survived by her husband, Eugene; son, Craig (Rebecca) Grover of Cohasset, Minn.; daughter, Heather (Michael) Angell of Grand Rapids; brother, Alan (Laurie) Krueger of Perham; two sisters, Connie Krueger of Maple Lake, Minn. and Pam (Gregg) Western of Fergus Falls, Minn.; eight grandchildren, Kristine, Rachel, Aaron, Caleb, Trevor, Caleb, Makayla and Parker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Helen.
A gathering with family and friends will be Friday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids with the Reverend Greg DeMuth officiating.
