Rengel had two doubles, a home run and scored three times for Fergus Falls at the plate. On the mound, he held Perham scoreless allowing only one hit over five innings.

The Yellowjackets rallied in the final two innings for four runs. Jake Still hit a two RBI double. Mac Link, Jordan Hein, Jesse Hein and Richard Hoffman all scored for the Jackets. Jordan Hein had the only other Perham RBI.

The Otters scored a pair of runs in the first and third innings to get up early 4-0. Fergus Falls scored a run in each of the fifth and sixth innings and sealed the victory putting four runs up in the final inning.

Perham pitchers were in trouble most of the game having control issues giving the Otters some good looks at a lot of 1-0 and 2-0 counts.

Plummeting temperatures during the game made control more of an issue and a stiff wind played havoc with pop-ups.

The Yellowjackets hit the road playing doubleheaders at Little Falls Saturday and East Grand Forks on Monday.

Both clubs started the season a bit rusty due to a lack of time outside due to snow and cold temperatures.
