PERHAM -- The Richville Rockets won five straight games to capture the Lakes Area Little League title on a sweltering Saturday.

Richville defeated the Perham Dodgers 11-2 behind solid pitching from Jace Kovash and John LaFond. Kovash added three hits and LaFond two to lead the Rockets.


Jace Kovash pitched a complete game and went 2-2 for the Rockets as they defeated Wadena Gold 11-6.

Martin LaFond added two hits and a home run and Dylan Fudge added two hits to pace the Rockets.

Martin La Fond pitched five solid innings and went 2-2 with a home run to lead Richville over the Perham Twins 8-2.

Jace Kovash, Carter Mulcahy and Dylan Fudge each added two hits for Richville.

The Rockets defeated Wadena 6-3 as Wyatt Guck, Ty Moser and Dylan Fudge notch two hits apiece for the Rockets.

Nine-year-old Noah Rooney threw four solid innings before giving way to Martin LaFond who notched the save and added a home run for the Rockets.

Richville defeated Wadena again to take the title, as Noah Rooney picked up another victory for the Rockets.

The Rockets won the game 9-2. Wyatt Guck was 3-3 and Jace Kovash and Dylan Fudge were each 2-2 at the plate.

For the tournament, Martin LaFond was 8-17 with a win, save and three home runs.

Wyatt Guck was 8-17.

Jace Kovash picked up three wins on the mound and was 11-15 at the plate.

Dylan Fudge was an amazing, near-perfect 13-15 and Noah Rooney won both championship games on the mound.
