FARGO – Someone used two fist-sized rocks to break two panels of glass at the front entrance of the Cass County Courthouse early Wednesday, Sheriff Paul Laney said.

Paper was taped around both rocks, with the words “facism” written on one and “nazzism” on the other, Laney said.

Just after midnight, cleaning staff at the courthouse heard a loud noise, discovered the damage at the main entrance and alerted sheriff’s deputies, Laney said.

The sheriff’s department is investigating the vandalism. So far, detectives have no suspects, and a motive has not been determined, the sheriff said.
