Ruby Murray, 74, passed away at her home in Perham, under the care of Red River Valley Hospice, on Jan. 6, 2014.

Ruby Faye Frost was born on Feb. 17, 1939 in New York Mills, to Christ and Louise (Tranby) Frost. Ruby attended New York Mills High School. Ruby was united in marriage with Donald McLeod. They resided in Dilworth, Minn., and made their home in South Saint Paul where Ruby was employed with Target as a pharmacy technician. Ruby and Donald were married for 25 years and raised five children, Kathy, Carrie, Dave, Mike and Rodney.

On Dec. 25, 1981, Ruby was married to Robert Alfred Murray in Brooklyn Park, Minn. They resided in North East Minneapolis, Columbia Heights, Fridley and Andover, Minn. Ruby retired from Target in 2003. In August of 2004 Ruby and Bob moved into their retirement home on Little Pine Lake, rural Perham.

Preceding Ruby in death were her parents, Christ and Louise Frost; sister, Gail (Glen) Sandbach; brothers, Clarence "Peaney" (Muriel) Frost, Adrian Frost and Melvin (Bernice) Frost; granddaughter, Katy Krech; and great-grandson, Dominic Krech; brother-in-law, Lawrence Becker and Douglas Hess.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Murray; two daughters, Kathy (Wally) Krech and Carrie (Mark) Lucas; three sons, Dave (Tara) McLeod, Mike (Terry) McLeod and Rodney McLeod; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Annie Hess, Jane (Harold) Windels and Nancy Becker; four brothers, Duane "Bud" (Irene) Frost, Jack (Faye) Frost, Roger "Chub" (Sharon) Frost and Daniel (Barbara) Frost; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and a host of friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in New York Mills, with Pastor Kirk Douglas officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, and accompanied by Janell Brakel. Interment will be at a later date at Greenwood Cemetery, New York Mills.
