Rud named male NDSU student-athlete of the year

Ted Rud was selected as the 2009-2010 male student-athlete of the year at NDSU.

North Dakota State University Athletic Director Gene Taylor recently announced that New York Mills graduate Ted Rud was selected as the 2009-2010 male student-athlete of the year. This award is given annually to one male student-athlete who participates on one of the Bison varsity teams. It encompasses both academic and athletic success.

Rud is a senior, majoring in civil engineering, with a GPA of 3.72. This year he ranked 30th nationally in the decathlon and received the Summit League MVP for field athletes at the Indoor Conference Championships.

The NDSU men are looking for their fourth straight Summit League Indoor title as they host at the Bison Sports Arena on Feb. 27 and 28, 2011.
